SUNDAY MORNING SERVICE
18th October 2020
Acts 28
Consider & Pray
Keep Going
Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
Ro 5:3–5
12 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. 2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

Song to Start - If I Go Climbing
In Acts, we have read about many of Paul's journeys. We know that God was with him whether he walked or sailed, and this song reminds us that he is always with us too, whether we are climbing, walking or rowing.
Activity 1- Make a Map
Can you make a map and draw some of Paul's journeys on the map? Paul went on lots of journeys to tell people about the good news of Jesus.
Sometimes he walked, sometimes he sailed, which wasn't very easy but he always kept going. Paul must have been truly amazed by the message because it drove him on, and he kept going even when the journey was difficult.

Activity 2 - Make a desert island scene
Can you make a desert island scene? perhaps in an old show box. Read Acts 28: 1-10 together as a family to see what details you could add to your model. Whilst you are making it can you think about how nothing stopped Paul taking the good news of Jesus to anyone who would listen.
