God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. 17 This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. 18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
19 We love because he first loved us. 20 Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. 21 And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.

We are looking at Hebrews 13 today, and at the beginning there are lots and lots of instructions about how Jesus’ followers should behave…..But they are not just rules, more like ways in which we can show people who Jesus is, and what he has done for us.
Jesus offers to do so much for us if we put our trust in him. He invites us to be part of his BIG family, and he helps us every day. So, if we have been lovingly invited into His BIG family, we too should show people that same love - so they know what Jesus’s love looks like as well.
Think about how a firefighter is dressed ready for action….. they wear helmets to keep their head safe and gloves to stop their hands from being burnt. Do you know anything else they wear? Why do they wear them?
Activity 1
Get yourself a stopwatch and see how quickly you can dress up as a grown up with a particular job. See if your Mum and Dad can guess what you are, and then see if you can beat your time next time round.

Did you know God has given you special tools that have a purpose?
I’m going to give you one idea of what God has given you and then I’d like you to think of some more tools – and what they are for.
