Activity 1
Today's passage looks at how Jesus is fully God and fully man. Jesus came to earth as a man and that means he knows what it is to be human, just like us! He knows what it is like to fall over and hurt himself, Jesus knows what it is like to feel sad and Jesus knows what it is like to feel alone.
In verse 11 of Hebrews 2, we read that Jesus is like a "big brother" to those who believe in him. Think about that for a minute.....Jesus is the best big brother ever!
The man who wrote this book really wants us to see how great Jesus is and set our eyes on “who” he is and "what" he has done.
Can you make a paper chain of people and decorate them? Decorate some as your family and one as Jesus, your "big brother". What words could you use to describe Jesus? You could write these down on the silhouette that is representing Jesus. Talk together about what a great big brother would do to help you and support you and write it down. Jesus can be your big brother and your Mum and Dad's big brother too.
