SUNDAY MORNING SERVICE
Acts 19:11 - 41
17 When this became known to the Jews and Greeks living in Ephesus, they were all seized with fear, and the name of the Lord Jesus was held in high honour. 18 Many of those who believed now came and openly confessed their evil deeds.
Pray before you start that God would speak and you would hear him.
Consider & Pray
Tick, Tick, Tick,
Do you tend to ignore the tick-tick of life that reminds you that there is more going on? How often are your thoughts on eternity?
Looking into the Loft
The Bible helps us to make sense of our world, it makes clear that there is a problem with sin and man is not capable of fixing the problem. But thank God that his word also reveals to us a solution. Thank God that he has done what needs to be done - thank him for his free offer of grace. If you trust in Jesus as your saviour thank him for the eternal security he offers you.
Bucket of filler
Are you still trying to fix the cracks? Recognize that the bible is clear that your works will not save you. The work has been completed by Jesus, turn, and put your trust in Him alone.
Song to Start -
God is Bigger
In this week's passage, we learn that we can trust God completely. Even when things in our lives go wrong this is still true.
Activity 1 - In God's Hands
We can trust God fully - he is what we need and in his hands is the safest place to be. Can you draw a massive pair of hands and then fill them up with all the things that you know God holds in his hands? You could draw pictures, make a collage, or write in words. God holds your family, your friends, your school your favourite animals all in his hands. We can't wait to see photos of your hands.
Activity 2 - Catch
God's hands are perfect and they keep us safe, they never make mistakes and God would never "drop the ball". How many times can you throw a ball or a bean bag between you and Mum or Dad without dropping it? Talk about how God has safe hands so we can trust in him.
