SUNDAY MORNING SERVICE
18th April
Hebrews
11:1-13
We encourage you to spend some time in prayer and ask God to speak to you this morning through his word.
Consider & Pray
21 Jesus asked the boy’s father, “How long has he been like this?”
“From childhood,” he answered. 22 “It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.”
23 “ ‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”
24 Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”

In the begining...

Song to Start
Read together
As a family read Hebrews 11 verses 1-3 together and talk about what "faith" means to you. Explain that we can know something is real even though we cannot see it.
Activity - Consider God's creation
In Hebrews 11 verse 3 it says it is by faith we can understand that all of creation was made by God, things that we can see were made by a God who we cannot see.
Talk together about God's amazing creation, the mountains, the beaches, the birds, and the flowers.
Could you make a collage of pictures to remind you of God's creation? Or paint a picture to think about all the amazing things God has made and think about how they point us to God.
Activity - Hebrews 11:1
Over the next few weeks, we are going to look at examples of people who lived by faith. Could you make a poster with the verse Hebrews 11:1 and put it somewhere you as a family will see it to remind you about the meaning of faith?
