SUNDAY MORNING SERVICE

Acts 15

 June 14th

1 Peter 2

9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 10 Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

 Consider & Pray

The Blueprint
The early church did not makeup and design the church as if it was their own project. They recognized God had a plan, they studied the scriptures and listened to God, to better understand His will for His Church. Spend some time in prayer asking God to remove any of our opinions and attitudes that are not of God. Pray that we would all be humble enough to listen to His will for his Church and not our own.
Trench and Foundation
What amazing news, that the work is done! Jesus has paid the price for your sin in full if we have put our faith in him. Your security is not found in you, but the work of Jesus. The solid ground on which you stand is not made by your works but his. Spend time in prayer thanking Him for that great immovable security. Are there areas in your life where you may be trying to build your own foundations? if so, pray that God would help you to fully appreciate his great grace and the peace that brings.
The Purpose
The Church has a clear purpose not only to tell people about Jesus but to look like him too. When we see Jesus we see a perfect love for his Father God and selfless love for people.
We are to be united in this mission but not uniform. Consider how God has fashioned and molded you for a purpose in his kingdom - spend time in prayer, with thankfulness for someone else who is very different to you but with whom you are united for your love of Jesus. Think about what this love looks like to the outside world and what it says about the church.

Song to Start  -

God's People in God's Place - Awesome Cutlery

This week we are reminded that God has a plan and it is that we are saved through Jesus alone. We think this song helps us to remember that God has always had a plan. Nick and Siobhan will send an action video around via the church families WhatsApp group.

Activity 1 -   Eric says sorry

In this week's passage, we hear that God has a plan to save us by grace. You might like to listen to this story together as a family, it explains why we need grace and how God gives us grace through Jesus.

Boy Playing with Blocks

Activity 2   -  God has a plan

In this passage there is a message that the Church needs to listen to God, he is the boss and has the best plan.

Imagine trying to make your favourite lego model and having the instructions to follow, would it be easier or more difficult to do this if someone was adding to the instructions whilst you are following the ones in the booklet?

Why not do an activity together which involves following instructions and talk about this together? You could build lego, follow a recipes to make a cake or make some play dough together. Talk about following instructions and not having extra instructions to follow at the same time.

Worship Music

As mentioned in the talk we are not uniform but united. Thank God for these artists who reach places we could not. Thank God that his message is for all nations.

If you would like a giggle

A few people have encouraged me to share my pain in producing some of these videos. Here is a short video of me desperately trying to say "credited".
